You might be surprised at how even the smallest of wardrobe spaces can be transformed with simple and affordable solutions. In this article, we'll share four easy tips to help you put your closet in order without breaking the bank.

Repurpose can tabs to link multiple hangers together and create more hanging space.

Expensive "As Seen on TV" solutions are not necessary to make the most of your closet space.  This trick is perfect for those who have a small closet but a lot of clothes to store.

Once you've finished your canned beverage, remove the metal tab and slide your hanger's hook through the circular opening at the top. By connecting multiple hangers with these tabs, you can create additional vertical space in your closet to hang your clothes. Check out this video for a useful visual!

Pro Tip: Try organizing similar items on one hanger or grouping your clothing by season to bring this hack to the next level!

Use shower curtain rings to hang your scarves.

Scarves can take up a lot of space in your drawers, but your closet can provide a convenient and organized way to store these accessories. Not only is this hack a practical solution, but it can also add a stylish touch to your closet decor, allowing you to free up drawer space compromising on the overall look of your closet.

The secret weapon to hanging scarves: shower curtain rings! To create this scarf-hanging hack, select a sturdy metal hanger (as plastic ones may not support the weight of multiple scarves), and attach shower curtain rings to the bottom of the hanger. Once the rings are secured, simply thread your scarves through them for an easy and accessible storage solution. Arrange your scarves by color, material, or any way you prefer.

Pro Tip: To avoid having your scarves hang too low and potentially dragging on the floor, fold them in half before threading them through the ring.

Make a simple shoe rack with tension rods.

Use tension rods to create a neat and attractive shoe rack in the unused space at the bottom of your closet. You can easily customize your tension rod shoe rack based on the available space, as these rods come in different sizes and colors.

You can put multiple tension rods in a row, and once they are in place, you can simply set your shoes on top of them. You can turn your disorganized heap of shoes into a tidy shoe rack for under $10.

Pro Tip: Don't forget to leave some clearance between the tension rod and the closet wall. When placing your shoes on the rod, position them in a way that allows the heels to rest against the wall for added stability.

Increase your storage space by adding a second shelf for knick-knacks.

Do you have any small items left that you want to store away? You can easily create an inexpensive shelf set on the interior of your closet door to keep your jewelry, socks, or other small accessories organized and easily accessible while still being out of sight. All you need are a few basic supplies and some simple tools.

Pro Tip: You can also use extension rods (like up above) on the top of your closet to store cleaning supplies (spray bottles) that have hooks or hang necklaces.
